Women's Track & Field Off To Strong Start on Day 1 of NEC Outdoor Track & Field ChampionshipsPublished by
St. Francis Brooklyn had a breakout day at the 2015 NEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday. Kristal Williams qualified for the finals in both the 100m and 200m and she will have some company due to some new personal bests by her teammates. Lataza Stephens qualified for the finals in the 100m with a new personal best of 12.66 and Jetiea Williams qualified in the 200m for the first time with a new personal-best time of 25.40. Captain Grace Vixama qualified in the 400m dash with a new personal-best of 58.52. The women will also compete in the 4x100 relay, 4x400 relay, triple jump, and javelin on Sunday.
